Recomfirmed once again this past holiday, I am the luckiest: Jake got me a Canon Eos Rebel T2. Seriously. Huge suprise - totally out of the blue! Of course I've always wanted one, but didn't even entertain the idea because they're so expensive. It was just sort of a hazy future dream that now is reality in my hands!

Then check out Wall Blank! They are revamping their website and just completed a sale of prints and photos that won't be available on the new site, so I snatched some up*

*I'm hoping I snatched them up; the sale lasted through Sunday and I put them in my "cart" then but didn't click to purchase and pay until Monday afternoon... the payment's gone through but the site says the prints are currently unavailable so we'll see if them being in my "cart" Sunday actually reserved them for me before the site went offline-ish! Fingers crossed!!

Trip Photos, Skewed

I recently came back from a weekend trip to San Francisco to visit a good friend and I returned with about 300 photos (impressive for only 2 full days!). Upon my return I noticed a post on Apartment Therapy about Tilt-Shift Miniature Making, where you take an ordinary photograph (usually a landscape/cityscape) and tweak the focus to make it appear to be a miniature model! I had tons of fun fooling with my SanFran pics and look forward to playing with this feature in the future!
